October 11, 2016

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Parent conferences are coming up in a few weeks. Conferences are November 1, 3 and 4, 2016 from 1:30 pm – 3:20 pm. Student dismissal will be at 12:29 pm.

Each conference will last 10 minutes. Sign-ups for conferences will be on October 25, 26, and 27. The conference sign-up sheets for each teacher will be located outside the office between the office and multi-use room from 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“Should I sign up for a conference?” Before doing so, please consult School Loop to see if your child is struggling in any classes. You will also be able to get a sense of your child’s achievements. If you are not sure after a review of School Loop, I encourage you to contact your child’s teachers directly to inquire if they recommend a conference.

Each teacher has a maximum number of 30 conferences so if your child is doing well (As and Bs), we request that you not sign up for a conference until October 27 th .

In other cases, a parent conference may be advised in order to inform the parent of a need for the student to improve, in this case priority sign-ups would be October 25 th and 26 th .

We have notified Sam Trans in regards to our minimum days and they have informed us that they will make every effort to have enough buses for our students. Sam Trans cannot guarantee that they will be able to provide additional buses on these three conference days. Please arrange for alternative transportation.

Thank you for all of your support of Ralston, and for your concern for your child. Your student’s academic progress is enhanced by your interest and involvement.
