Ralston Music Boosters

Welcome to the Ralston Middle School Music Program!

Ralston offers the following programs and year-long electives:

6th Grade Intermediate Honors (Audition Required)
Band Symphonic Band Honors Band
Chorus Concert Chorale Chamber Choir
Orchestra Advanced Orchestra Chamber Orchestra
    Jazz Ensemble (before school)

Ralston’s music program is run by two wonderful teachers, Ms. Webster and Mr. Thielen, with additional help from Ms. Alison Kim who teaches one of the two choral classes.

Students perform in three annual concerts:

  • Winter Concert (December)
  • Student-organized benefit concert for Ronald McDonald House (March)
  • Sprint Concert (May)

7th and 8th grade students have additional festival performances. A professional video is available for purchase for the winter and spring concerts.  In the spring of even-numbered years, the Honors Band, Chamber Choir, and Chamber Orchestra travel to perform at Disneyland.

The program is supported by the Music Boosters: a group of parent volunteers that provides support and organization to Ralston’s music program and coordinate with the music teachers and SchoolForce on the financial needs of the program.

Donate to SchoolForce!

SchoolForce (BRSSD’s Education Foundation) funds 100% of music program needs!  Thanks to this support, Ralston Music Boosters only fundraiser is the snack bar at Ralston's winter and spring concerts. Our music program would not be what it is today without support from SchoolForce.  Please be sure to include SchoolForce in your budgeting plan for a donation every year by June 30! THANK YOU to SchoolForce! (www.schoolforce.org)
