Meet our Student Government adviser, Mrs. Sanchez!

My name is Jamie Sanchez and I am the Student Government Faculty Adviser and 6th Grade English teacher.  My teaching experience includes college-level instruction to middle school and this is my 5th year running a middle school Student Government program.

If you're interested in joining Student Government, applications and elections for the class are held at the end of each year for the following school year. Only 7th and 8th graders can run for office or apply to take the Student Government class as an elective.  If you would like more information about Ralston's Student Government please send me an email: jsanchez@brssd.org.

Welcome to Ralston Middle School Student Government!  With all of the spirit activities, dances, socials, and community service events we organize, we really put the roar in Roaring Rams!

Upcoming Spirit Activities

Oct 29:  Halloween Door Decoration Contest judged during 4th period.

Oct 31:  Halloween Grams delivered to homerooms.  Halloween Door Decoration Contest winner announced.

 

November:

Monthly Focus: Friendship

Nov 2-5:  Ralston Mock Election

Nov 5-9:  Cards for Kids Campaign.  Make cards for children receiving long-term hospital care.

Nov 13-16:  Dance tickets sold during lunch and Wednesday Snack at the Spirit Pit.  Tickets cost $5

Nov 16th, 6:45-9:15 pm Dance @ the GYM

  • 6th graders attend the dance 6:45-8:45 pm
  • 7th graders attend the dance 7:00-9:00 pm
  • 8th graders attend the dance 7:15-9:15 pm

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Tickets cost $5 and can be bought during lunch or snack the week of the dance at the Spirit Pit.  Admission tickets will also be sold at the door.  Snacks and drinks will also be available to purchase.

 

Nov 19:  Music at lunch.  6th and 7/8th.

Nov 26-30:  Spirit Week/Friendship Banner Lunch Activity.  Help us make a banner by telling us what is important to you.

Monday:  Wear Purple-Write about what you are thankful for at lunch in the Spirit Pit.

Tuesday:  Wear Red-Write about what makes your friends awesome.

Wednesday:  Wear Green-Write about what you appreciate.

Thursday:  Wear Blue-Write about who inspires you.

Friday: Wear RAMS gear or colors-Write about why you are glad to be a RAM.

 

 

March 15th, 3:30-5 pm After School Social

 

May 10th, 6:45-9:15 pm Dance
