Teacher Bio
Hi My name is Mr. David Ansnes. I have had the pleasure of teaching at Ralston Middle School for five years. I am entering my 13th year as an educator, all in middle school mathematics. I was born and raised in the Bay Area with my schooling done at the University of Oregon. I started my teaching career in Southern California with a stop in Millbrae as well.
I have a deep love of numbers founded in my passion for baseball statistics. This probably started as a six year old after attending my first Giants game. I continued my love of math and statistics through school and then to a position several years ago as a freelance sports statistician for ESPN and Fox Sports.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young daughters. I am an avid outdoorsman. I love hiking, camping and competing in running races. I also love following the local sports teams and international soccer.
One of my goals as a math teacher is to make my class as fun and interesting as possible. Hopefully my students can share my love of math!
