Applying to Private High School?

For any 8th graders applying to private high schools, please make sure to mark your current school as "Ralston Middle School" instead of "Ralston Intermediate School," as there has been some confusion regarding this.  If you would like transcripts sent to the schools you are applying to, please fill out a Transcript Request Form from the schools you are applying to and turn these in at the Ralston Front Office.  If you have any questions regarding this, please see your 8th grade counselor, Rachel Parker.

8th grade Promotion Ceremony:Wednesday, June 10 at 9:00am

The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held at Carlmont High School on the football field. All 8th graders will sit in the bleachers and parents will be seated on the football field.

8th grade students are to arrive at Carlmont High School at 8:00AM on Wednesday, June 10th and report to the main gym (Stogner Gym).

Click here for Carlmont High School map.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00AM, and the ceremony will conclude between 10:15AM and 10:30AM.

Your student will be handed their promotion certificate during the ceremony. After the ceremony is complete, students may reunite with their families on the field.

Professional photographers will be capturing each child as they receive their promotion certificate. Please do not stand in the aisle ways or walk up front to take pictures.  Pictures will be available for purchase after the ceremony. Please notify the office if your student will not be attending the ceremony.

Please note: We ask that you arrive to the Carlmont campus no earlier than 8:00AM.

There will be canopies set up for handicap and elderly only, unfortunately family members will not be able to accompany them in these designated areas due to limited space.

We will have 1200 chairs available for parents/guardians. Please be mindful of the people attending as we hope immediate family members get seats.

The Belmont Police Department will be at Carlmont monitoring the campus and promotion area.

No noise makers or confetti cannons please!

There will be designated parking spaces for handicap in the Senior Parking Lot. The entrance to the Senior Parking Lot is located across from Chula Vista Street.

Click here for Carlmont High School map.

The Belmont Police Department will be monitoring the parking lots and directing traffic to other parking areas. When the ceremony is over, the Belmont Police Department will then be directing cars to exit areas of the school. We highly encourage carpooling, as parking is limited.
